Have you ever noticed how certain outfits make you feel special? This floral dress is my definition of a “power outfit”. It’s also one of my current favorites for work meetings because it makes me feel confident and really projects what the blog is all about. It is the perfect combination between classic and feminine, with a hint of the 60s, 70s and the French girl style I love so much, without looking like a costume.

The Accessories

Block heels are, not only the perfect complement for a retro look but also the ideal footwear choice whenever I have to walk or stand a lot but also look dressy. The knitted handbag is my very own twist on Jane Birkin’s iconic basket. I chose this style because it’s different from all the ones that have taken over Instagram this year. I’ve always thought that if you choose to follow a trend, you must give it your own twist or you might end up looking like a copycat.

The earrings, however, are something new for me. If you have been following my Lookbook section for a while, you must know I am not the statement earring kind of person. Hell, sometimes I don’t even wear any! But these hoops really caught my attention because they felt like the perfect interpretation of the 70s hoops. The only downside is that they’re really heavy so I can’t pull them off all day. I might end up upgrading to a similar but more comfortable pair soon.

The Photos

These photos are part of the collaboration I did with my talented friend Luis Gutiérrez in the city of Masaya. If you want to check out more of his work you can visit his website luisgutierrezl.com.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this post. Feel free to leave a comment letting me know what you thought of this look. Once again, thank you so much for being here, and may the force be with you. Until next time!
